The song "I Will Not Walk Away" is inspired by the Bread of Life Discourse (John 6:22-59) In this scene, Mary Magdalene hears the disciples "murmuring their disbelief" and she tell Jesus, "I believe you - and I will not walk away!"

"I Will Not Walk Away"

You say that Your flesh

Is bread for the world

Who am I not to believe?

You are God

and You have spoken

My faith in Your Presence

Is not broken.

REFRAIN

My feet are close upon Your steps

I will follow You to the depths

If I am the last one I will stay.

I am with You to the end

  My King, My Friend,

I will not walk away.

VERSE 2

I want them to love You

To fall on their knees

To taste how sweet Your mysteries.

The ones who You healed

turn their backs and despise

And see Your Presence

Only with their eyes.

REFRAIN

My feet are close upon Your steps

I will follow You to the depths

If I am the last one I will stay.

I am with You to the end,

My King, My Friend,

 I will not walk away,

I will not walk away!
